Terms of service

Last updated 2026-10-21 · Version 1.0

Draft pending legal review. These terms have not yet been approved by a solicitor and should not be relied on as final.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and i7V Renewables Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under number SC662340, at Blackwood House, Union Grove Lane, Aberdeen, Scotland, AB10 6XU (“Realest”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They apply when you subscribe to and use Realest, our app for organising property information, appointments and client communications in one place.

“You” means the business that uses Realest. If you are a sole trader, that is you. If you sign up on behalf of a company or firm, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it, and the company or firm is bound by them.

These terms are made up of:

  • these terms of service
  • the Data Processing Terms in the schedule, which cover how we handle personal data about your clients and contacts on your behalf

Our privacy policy explains how we use personal data as a controller. It is a notice, not part of this agreement: realest.pro/privacy/.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Realest.

2. Who can use Realest

Realest is for people using it in the course of their business, such as estate and letting agents, property managers and factors, landlords and tradespeople. You must be 18 or over.

If you use Realest as a private individual rather than for a business (for example, as a private landlord), section 12 explains the rights you keep as a consumer.

3. Your account

You must give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

Each login is for one person. Keep your password secure and do not share your login. Tell us straight away at support@realest.pro if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You are responsible for everything done through your account, unless it happens because we failed to keep Realest secure.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Buying a subscription. Paid plans are bought in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price, the billing period and what each plan includes are shown before you buy.

Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Apple or Google takes your payment and manages your subscription under their own terms. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You cancel in your Apple or Google account settings, not in the Realest app. Refund requests go to Apple or Google, under their refund rules.

Your subscription belongs to your account. It unlocks the paid features of Realest for the account you are signed in to, on any device and in the web app.

Price changes. Apple and Google tell you about price changes in advance, under their rules, and you can cancel before a new price applies.

5. If your subscription ends

If a renewal payment fails, Apple and Google give you a 7-day grace period while they try the payment again. You keep full access to Realest during that time.

If you cancel, your subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

When your subscription has ended:

  1. Your account is locked. For 30 days, you can still sign in, but only to export your data or to resubscribe. Your data is kept safely during this time.
  2. If you resubscribe within the 30 days, everything is restored.
  3. After 30 days, we permanently delete your account and the data in it, as set out in the Data Processing Terms.

We will email you when your subscription ends, when your account is locked, and about a week before your data is deleted.

6. Your content and your clients’ data

You own your content. The information you put into Realest, including properties, appointments, contacts, leads, notes and photos, remains yours.

Permission to use it. You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to provide Realest to you and to keep it secure. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

Your clients’ data. For personal data about your clients and contacts, you are the controller and we act on your behalf, as set out in the Data Processing Terms. You are responsible for:

  • having a lawful basis for the personal data you add
  • telling your clients how you use their data, for example in your own privacy notice
  • what you choose to write in notes and other free-text fields

What you share is your choice. Some features let you share information with others:

  • Booking pages, listings links, your business card and your calendar feed can be seen by anyone who has the link. Uploaded photos can be viewed by anyone with their link. You can switch links off or reset them in the app.
  • People you link to a property (sellers, occupants and landlords) can see the information the app shares with them. Landlords linked to a property can see your notes on its appointments; the app shows this when you write a note.

You are responsible for what you choose to publish or share in these ways.

Realest helps you stay organised. It can support your record-keeping, compliance and client service, but it does not provide legal, regulatory or compliance advice, and it does not replace your own professional obligations.

7. Acceptable use

When using Realest, you must not:

  • add personal data you have no lawful basis to hold, or use Realest to misuse anyone’s personal data
  • upload or share content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, offensive, or that infringes someone else’s rights
  • send excessive or unwanted messages to viewing attendees or other people through Realest
  • share your login, or let anyone other than the account holder use your account
  • copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer Realest, except where the law allows it
  • try to gain unauthorised access to Realest, other accounts or our systems, or introduce malicious code
  • overload, disrupt or interfere with Realest or other people’s use of it

8. Our service

Availability. We use reasonable efforts to keep Realest available and working well, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and we will try to give notice of planned maintenance where we can.

Support. You can contact us at support@realest.pro. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Changes to Realest. We regularly improve Realest, and we may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature that is important to how you use Realest, we will give you reasonable notice, and you can cancel your subscription.

Beta features. Features marked as beta or preview are provided as they are, may not work perfectly, and may change or be withdrawn.

Other services. Some features rely on other services, such as Apple and Google for payments, map and address providers, and your calendar app if you subscribe to your Realest calendar feed. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

9. Our intellectual property

Realest, including the app, its design, software and content (other than your content), belongs to us or our licensors. While your subscription is active, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Realest for your business under these terms.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

10. Suspension and ending this agreement

When we may suspend your account straight away. We may suspend your account immediately if:

  • it poses a security threat to Realest, our users or their data
  • it is being used unlawfully
  • the law, a court or a regulator requires it

We will tell you why as soon as we can, unless the law stops us.

Other breaches. If you break these terms in any other way, we will tell you what the problem is and give you 14 days to put it right before we suspend or close your account. If the breach cannot be put right, or happens again, we may close your account.

Non-payment is handled as described in section 5.

Closing your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings, or at realest.pro/request-deletion. Your account is deactivated straight away, and your public links, calendar feed and business card stop working. For 30 days you can ask us to restore it at privacy@realest.pro. After that, we permanently delete your account and its data.

Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple or Google subscription. Cancel it in your store account settings as well.

What survives. Sections 6 (as it applies to data), 9, 11, 12 and 15, and the Data Processing Terms for as long as we hold your clients’ data, continue after this agreement ends.

11. Our liability to you

What we never limit. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.

Business losses (business customers). If you use Realest for your business, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, commission, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises.

Our overall limit. Our total liability to you under or in connection with this agreement, in each 12-month period, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid for Realest in the 6 months before the claim arose, or £525.

Data protection. For claims arising from our breach of the Data Processing Terms or data protection law, our total liability in each 12-month period is limited to [amount to be confirmed]. This replaces the overall limit above for those claims.

Your content. We are not responsible for the accuracy of the content you add, or for decisions you make based on information in Realest.

12. If you are a consumer

If you use Realest as a private individual rather than for a business:

  • you keep all the rights that consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes them away
  • if you bought your subscription through Apple or Google, any cooling-off or refund rights are handled through their refund process
  • the exclusion of business losses in section 11 does not apply to you; we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for losses that were not foreseeable
  • if you live in the UK outside Scotland, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live; if you live in the EU or South Africa, you keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live

13. Apple App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Realest from the Apple App Store:

  • this agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for Realest and its content
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Realest
  • if Realest fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Realest
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to Realest, including product liability claims, claims that Realest fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that Realest infringes someone else’s intellectual property
  • you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties
  • you must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using Realest
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you

If you downloaded Realest from Google Play, Google Play’s terms apply to your purchase and download, alongside these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to Realest or the law. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any important change, by email and in the app. If you do not agree to the change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before it takes effect. If you keep using Realest after the change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

15. General

Transfer. We may transfer this agreement to another company in our group, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer it without our written agreement.

Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Whole agreement. These terms, including the Data Processing Terms, are the whole agreement between you and us about Realest.

If part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Third-party rights. No one other than you and us, and Apple as set out in section 13, has any right to enforce these terms.

Notices. We will contact you by email at the address on your account, or in the app. You can contact us at support@realest.pro.

Governing law. These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to your rights as a consumer in section 12.
